1. GREEN COVERAGE AND CLIMATE CHANGE
How can we integrate green canopy into the climate change theory and practice to tackle the key challenges of environmental transformation in Bogota and other megacities?
2. REDUCTION + ABUNDANCE
Most of the best practices related to Climate Change mitigation and adaptation are linked to reduction of CO2 emissions and other negative impacts. How can we deliver positive impacts that create abundance as well?
Blue infrastructure often poses floood risk, particularly along river banks. An adaptation strategy from the planning stand point is to make river banks accesible to general public as parks and ecological areas while informal settlements are restricted. However, where do we relocate vulnerable communities and how do we help them bult capacity?
3. INFORMAL SETTLEMENTS
landscape in Colombia carries an inmense social value due to is visual impact, as well as its diverse climate zones. How does climate change affect this value? How does this modify the way we conceive urban planning in Colombia?
4. THE VALUE OF LANDSCAPE
The emerging urban settlements that grow organicly can be explained via a connecting pattern established by shortcut roads that start to shape new towns. How does this expansion pattern relate to Climate Change variables like CO2 emissions resulting from vehicles? How does this pattenr relate to the transformation of green areas and green canopy in the emerging settlements?
